Guesthouse U-En – The best value in Osaka!

U-En is located in a multi-tenant building called “Yui” that was once occupied by a printing shop and an apartment for its owners. The 1st floor consists of the guesthouse lounge, two small shops, and Café Kao-Kao, which serves beer, alcohol, coffee and chai along with homemade curry rice and fried chicken as well as other snacks. All rooms are on the 2nd floor and are decorated in classic Japanese-style, with tatami mats and clay plaster walls. This gives U-En a quirky yet classy character unseen in hostels of its price range.

U-En has all the equipment you need to get through your day—two showers, a shared kitchen, refrigerators, a washing machine, computers, wi-fi, rental bicycles and more. Café Kao-Kao maintains a library of Japanese manga, poetry and literature which you can borrow as you like. There’s also a rack of pamphlets in the lobby providing information on sightseeing opportunities and events throughout the city.
